Take comfort in proven protection
We understand that caring for an ostomy can be an everyday challenge. Maintaining the health of the skin surrounding your ostomy is critical to pouch adherence as well as your comfort, well-being and confidence.
It is essential that the skin surrounding a stoma site be protected from the potentially irritating and excoriating effects of body fluids and adhesives. Applying Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film to a peri-stomal site will provide long-lasting protection against enzymes and other harmful elements often present in intestinal contents or urinary/faecal effluent. It will also protect the skin against adhesive trauma.
Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film can be used at every appliance change to protect against adhesive related skin injury and to prevent and treat sore skin. So you can carry on with life.
Maintaining intact skin enables better pouch adherence, more confidence and more peace-of-mind. We know caring for an ostomy is an every-day challenge. Get the highest possible levels of comfort, convenience and protection with Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film. Unlike many skin creams and lotions, Cavilon film is a unique polymer formulation that forms a non-sticky, breathable, waterproof protective coating that protects the skin from damage. It is ideally suited for peri-stomal skin care, providing long-lasting protection against urine, stool and adhesives. Protects skin from stool and urine irritation.
Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film is available in convenient 1 ml wipes and in 28 mL spray bottles. Both offer the same no-sting, alcohol-free formulation that is trusted by hospitals and caregivers around the world for gentle, effective protection of peri-stomal skin.

A. Removal is not necessary. Build-up of the film may look like white scaling, but it not harmful. If desired, the film may be removed with a gentle medical adhesive remover. Vigorous scrubbing when removing the film should be avoided as this may cause skin damage. When Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film is used under an adhesive product (such as your ostomy device), it is removed along with the product.
