The 3M™ Nasogastric Securement Device is designed to deliver reliable securement to help keep nasal feeding tubes and other tubes delivering therapy via the nose in place. This NG tube securement device is an easy-to-use solution that helps support pressure injury prevention practices and minimizes the risk for medical adhesive-related skin injury (MARSI).

Designed to help reduce pressure injury risk.

The securement solution you choose for your patients — whether a device or tape — should keep nasogastric (NG) tubes in place to help avoid disrupting therapy. Consider how the 3M™ Nasogastric Securement Device performed in a comparative study.

More Reliable Securement:

3M™ Nasogastric Securement Device had a statistically higher percentage of devices remaining on the skin than Hollister® Feeding Tube Attachment Device after 48 hours and 72 hours of wear.*
*As tested in a comparative, prospective clinical study of 64 healthy human subjects over 3 days of wear.

As you apply the 3M™ Nasogastric Securement Device, remember these helpful tips:

Do not place on the center of the nose.

Off-center placement allows the tube to hang freely to help minimise contact with the naris.
Wrap the short tab of the horizontal tail.

After removing the bottom liner to expose the adhesive, place tube in alignment with vertical tail of the securement device and apply firm pressure to adhere it to the tube. Wrap the short tab (on right) of the horizontal part of the device around the tube. Wrap the long horizontal part of the device in a spiral fashion around the tube and apply firm pressure to enhance adhesion.
Do not attempt to tape over the non-adhesive section of the device.

This intended design feature allows the tube to hang freely to help reduce the risk of pressure injury.
Use the non-adhesive tab at the end of the tail to unwrap the device from the tube, while stabilising the tube.
