Can I install the wrap myself?
We do not recommend you install wrap film yourself. To ensure the quality, appearance and durability of your wrap, it is important that a trained and experienced installer performs the installation for you. Get tips on choosing the right restyler.

How long will my wrap last?
3M Wrap Film generally has a 7-year expected outdoor performance with a 3 year vertical and 1 year horizontal warranty period.

Is my wrap durable in all weather?
Yes. Our wrapping materials are made and tested to withstand the elements. You can help protect the beauty and life of your wrap by storing your vehicle inside when possible, and regular and thorough cleaning.

How do I clean my wrap?
- Wash the vehicle by hand using a mild detergent with no additives such as wax.
- Take it through a brushless car wash, but don't use the wax option. Dry thoroughly to avoid spotting.

Can the wrap be removed?
Yes. When removed within the 3M warranty period, they are guaranteed to remove cleanly. If any residue remains, it is easily cleaned off. Professional removal is recommended.

Will the wrap damage the finish of my car?
Removal within the wraps warranty period is very unlikely to cause any damage. Areas that have been covered by the wrap material may in fact appear more vibrant and glossier having been protected from the elements by the wrap.

Can I wrap just parts of my car rather than the total car?
Certainly, yes. In fact some of the most unique and interesting wraps have been just doing detailing like the roof, hood/bonnet, wing mirrors or front grill. It’s a great way to personalize your car without going to the expense of a full wrap. Get inspired.

How do 3M™ Automotive Window Films work?
3M Automotive Window Films are designed to reduce the amount of solar heat transmission through window glass by increasing the solar reflection (not necessarily visible reflection) and solar absorption through the glass.
All 3M Automotive Window Films are made to be transparent and optically clear. The ultraviolet protection is built into the adhesive system to provide longevity to the film as well as provide UV protection for your home and office furnishings.

Will 3M Automotive Window Films stop my car seats from fading?
Nothing completely stops fading. 3M Window Films are designed to help reduce the major causes of fading (ultra violet light, visible light, and solar heat), thus prolonging the life of your furnishings, perhaps as much as two to five times. Generally, ultra violet (UV) is approximately 40% of the cause, visible light is about 25%, and heat about 25%. The remaining 10% can be attributed to humidity, pollutants, interior lights, dye stability, and more.

How do I clean my 3M™ Automotive Window Film?
After thirty (30) days, you may clean 3M™ Films using normal household cleaning solutions, including ammonia based products: e.g., Windex, and a soft, lint-free cloth or towel. You may also use a squeegee to clean the films. Abrasive products which would scratch or damage the film should not be used.

3M™ Safety and Security Window Films are designed to make glass shatter-resistant by holding the glass pieces together when broken.
